CIBPA  Foundation Italian Diaspora Studies Fellowship

The CIBPA Foundation Italian Diaspora Studies Fellowship encourages the study and understanding of the Italian Canadian community in Montreal. This special CIBPA Foundation fellowship funds the participation of meritorious students Studies Summer Seminar is organized by the John D. Calandra Italian American Institute at Queens College of The City University of New York in collaboration with Roma Tre University and will take place in Rome from June 10th to June 28th, 2024

The CIBPA Foundation Italian Diaspora Studies Fellowship covers tuition, lodging and some additional costs associated with participation in the program (Valued $ 8 000). Recipients of the Fellowship will be required to attend and complete ALL the Italian Diaspora Studies Summer Seminar courses, special lectures, and course work. During the program, Fellowship recipients will develop a research project about or related to Italian Canadians in Montreal.

When the recipients of the Italian Diaspora Studies Fellowship return to Montreal, the CIBPA will require them to submit a brief report about their experience (500 words), as well as present their experience and research project to the CIBPA boards of directors and the community.

Candidates will be selected by a special CIBPA committee, according to the quality of their application, and be confirmed by the Directors of the Italian Diaspora Studies Summer Seminar.
